To start off my direction in to painting skies and seas. I’ve been looking at a few artists as well as studying the forces and observing and Drawing!
As well as researching there is only
So much you can do with out actually painting. It’s like learning to play the guitar with out any strings.
With my tutorial this week me and my tutor have discussed going larger now and painting with fluid paint glazes
And impasto to really push my self, as I tend to paint stuck to myself, so for this next week I’m really going to try and push my self pouting paint on the canvas and scraping back washing applying water and even leaving it in the rain on my next canvas as- when bringing this painting to uni it got rain all
Over it and actually made it look very interesting, using natural resources to try and push painting to its maximum in my ability to let the paint be paint but still look intriguing.
I’ve also decided to not foxus so much on other artists work for this week at the moment as I feel it’s holding me back from
Being myself as I’m fixated on how other artists manage to do it rather than figuring things out for myself.
Preparing Canvasses for painting.
Discussing with my tutor about working on some grounds this week and using thinner paint- invested in some
Clouds- what is it about them?
